Who it suits

For you if you live in the UK and want a kit that openly states G98 compliance and an ENA certificate.

Pros

  • ENA certificate VOLTD/21572/V1/A2 and G98 stated on the listing.
  • JA Solar N-type double-glass panels certified to IEC 61215/61730.
  • UK plug as standard; 800 VA output and 930 Wp, within the UK limits.
  • The listing’s warranty field says 25 years.

Cons

  • We haven’t confirmed IPS v2 compliance or an entry on the ENA plug-in register.
  • Very limited stock: “only 2 left” on 6 November 2026.
  • The listing doesn’t say the panels are bifacial.
  • It isn’t clear which components the 25-year warranty covers.

What’s in the box

Two JA Solar JAM54D41-465/LR modules, N-type, full black, double glass, IEC 61215/61730.

Hoymiles HF-800-WB microinverter: 800 VA output from 930 Wp of DC.

A UK plug. A sister kit uses the BYM800 “ZJBENY” inverter with the same ENA certificate and the same panel type.

UK rules

Plug-in solar has been legal in the UK since 27 August 2026 (SI 2026/848). Limits: up to 800 W AC output and 2,000 W DC.

It must be a complete product under IPS v2, with a BS 1363 plug fused at 5 A or less, and only one unit per household is allowed (G98). It must also be on the ENA register (myplugin.solar).

This kit states its ENA certificate and G98, but we couldn’t confirm IPS v2 or its plug-in register entry. Check both before you buy.
